i will confess up front, I have joined this board to get info for my father, he has passed his beloved 97 Valkryie on to me and has bought a 09 Road King. He loves the bike and wants to put new exhaust on it, he is looking for a better sound and performance is not his primary objective.
He is being told a lot about the ins and outs of after marked pipes and since he lives a few states away i told him i would get some tech advice for him,
can anyone point me to a thread on exhaust upgrade 101? I need basic info such as what is a "slip on", can this mod be done without going to a dealer, and if anyone has recommendations that would be great!
