Seems like I hear alot of lifter type noise while crusing. I have been told this is normal on the twin-cam touring bikes. 2006 Ultra Classic.
 
I sometimes hear a lot of lifter noise from my fatboy. sometimes it's very noticeable but most of the time it's not very noticeable at all.
 
Also: check the tin heat shields on the exhaust.
Some hi-heat silicone in a glob between the pipe and the shield cures the tapping or rattle.

Check those cheap exhaust nuts, if they are loose replace them with new ones and lock washers and torque them to 10 ft lbs:):)
