4 or 3 1/2. With 3 1/2 checking hot oil level is half way between add and full.

That is where I like to run mine, no Lower..Maybe at times a little higher BUT never up tight to full... The thing is when I get 1000 miles on That oil change, I usually put in about 3 oz new oil to freshen up the Old oil a bit..

it is Still on the Below full level.. I do use the full 3.5 quarts in my change... At times, I have added oil to with-in a 1/4 inch LESS of the full line... Usually after a few miles like said above to FRESHEN the oil..

I use Redline 20/50 premium synthetic oil..

I usually go with 3.5 as well, however, I always fill the oil filter 1/2 full before I install it.

Half way between add and full is good. 3-1/2 Qts for me.
