Good morning All

I have a 2009 RKC witn 25K ond am able to get a FREE Dyno Tune at the local HD Dealer I recently changed out the plugs and changed outr all the fluids new Tires/Brakes I have the Dobec TCI Fue lkit set at the recommanded settings After marker pipes and Stage 1
The Bike seems to run great however my FRONT cylinder spark plugs is burning great but my REAR cylinder is running Extremely Lean I add a couple of cap fulls of MAG Jet Fuel every fill up

Should I use the Free Dyno tune to diagnose my Lean rear cycynder?
I am concerned that the Road king has too many miles to put it to it's rev limit
Please advise
Thank you
Bill

If your bike is running fine why put it through the dyno? Do you run 91 octane gas? What is the additive for?

I would think if you have the fuel kit dialed in correctly for your set up, it shouldn't run to lean. You might want to re check the settings and make some adjustments.

My experience with HD, EVEN Free it probably will cost you.:55:

They will want to sell you their product and not work with the TFI.......
Telling you the TFI is no good.:breakdance That is the Usual song and dance I've heard from others that take their bikes in to tune.

I think you Just need to Tune the first green pot a little Richer YOURSELF
(just a little richer)...

Bike warmed, fast idle, (Fan blowing on the exhaust side for cooling)

Turn the green UP until it stumbles then go back down until it runs smooth again. Do this slowly a few times Until you get the feel of what it is doing. then final set the green, smooooooth and just a tad less(Just a Tad)... That is where I get my best fuel mileage and the bike will run great...

Easy to adjust and you might not want to lower it a little less than the smooth setting like above.... Keeping on the RIGHT (richer) side not going down after smooooth is achieved.

The yellow may need to be increased by .5 of a point.. TRY it ..... red setting should be set where Dobeck (in instructions #4) set at #4, that one should be fine.

You may have a lean condition on the back cylinder IF you have a small intake leak... That should be checked First.

Usually it is the front cylinder that is Normally Leaner...

Let us know what you decide.

I Have Never had any of my bikes Dynoed.

With the Dobeck fuelers I find No Need...

ADDED:

Just Like Jeff said......

As Bubbie has said, your free dyno is going to cost you money and possible more. With my experience there are few who are experts in the dyno field. And why would you want to subject you pride and joy to the harsh treatment of a dyno when it is mostly stock. Reset TFI to Bubbie specs, set and forget it and you will further ahead of the game........:):s

Keep in mind a dyno tune is only as good as the equipment being used and the technician. One other thing you may have to sign a waiver making them not responsible for ANY engine damage:s

Don't worry about hitting the rev. limiter. It's set so low (5,200 or 5,500) rpm that nothing is going to be hurt.

Thank you All
for the great advice i will be rechecking my setting and follow your guidlines Bubbie It is very much appreciated

Dyno's seem to be the base line for people. Why not go with the seat of your pants? If it is fast enough and runs good for you....ride it!
