Dash lights

I recently purchased a 2018 FLHTP, I had a Sony stereo installed however even before the stereo installation my dash lights would stay on after I turned off complete power to the bike. It doesn’t do this all the time just maybe 1 out of 10 times. Does anyone know why this happens

FLHTP, former police model? I suspect some wire was left bare after removing police equipment. The problem is finding it, the CANBUS system on newer models is way beyond my electrical ability.

Are there any DTC-code,s present. If the red-dot light is on,there are code,s stored.
There can still be historic code,s ,even if red-dot is not on.
There,s a Howto on this forum,explaining how to retrieve these DTC,s.
