Cutting the cats out of headers.

Does any body know how much power I will gain if I cut the cats out of the head pipe on a 2010 Ultra Classic? Some mechs say not much other say it will help a lot. I know it will help make it run cooler. Just trying to justify the cost, is it worth it? Get headers or just cut the cats out? I have slip on reinharts mufflers and the air cleaner mods with the down load.

Why not get some new header pipes. That way you can restore to original configuration if you choose to in the future without breaking the bank.

Don't have any hands on, but here's a shop in Lake Havasu that will do the stock header pipes $100.00.

Just read a post about a guy that bought a core bit and removed his cat for about 30.00 bucks. Bike ran cooler and more power.He used a 1.6" concrete core bit and had pictures of every step pretty cool.I am looking for a core bit to do the same. I will try to find the post and put it up.
