crankcase breather and washing

I just finished washing my 1997 1200 sportster, dried her then looked at the crankcase breather. It's vented looks like water can get into the crankcase. Did I screw up should I have covered it, nothing to worry about? Thanks

I think you will be fine, if you have ridden in the driving rain it is not much different:s Keep the direct water and for sure high pressure spray away from wheel bearings:s
 
On a 1997 sportster the crank case breather should be in the heads and connected to the air cleaner to burn the vented air
