cracked engine case

I was trying to completley drain the oil out of my bike at my first oil change to get all the factory oil out of it. While doing this I broke the bottom corner off next to the drain plug. I have tried JB Weld and several other two part epoxies. After the first repair I noticed a small leak so that is when I started over and nothing is working. Is there anything I can try or do I just need to bite the bullet and buy a new case?

If you are referring to the allen head plug under the engine in the case, I would bite the bullet and replace it but don't make the mistake again.
We just had a post yesterday about the same thing and I advise against removal of that plug. It isn't there to facilitate removal of oil from the engine.

Possible if you find a good welder, he may be able to help you out.

Check the self help area before attempting services for any tips.

Oil pans are not to spendy, repairing them HMMMMM cleaning aluminum for welding not fun

Thanks. I will not make the mistake again.

Do you know where I can get a replacement case cheaper than through the dealer?
