Threw a Code 56 after a long ride this weekend. This code came up once before about a year ago and I started using a battery tender and the code went away. Still using the battery tender. According to the SM it could be the cam sensor or timing, sprocket, timing chain or low battery voltage. The bike is a 2000 EGC with 11K and it runs flawlessly.

Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated.
 
Code 56 is a crank or cam position sensor error.

Being it's running well I would suspect possibly a bad connection until something gives up the fight and you can pinpoint the problem.
