Cloudy Headlight Bulb

Many have found the headlight reflector to be cloudy after a few miles and wanted to clean it out to return it to as new condition. I've done this myself on a few occasions and it works great. It restores the lost illumination from the cloudiness.

If it's the open reflector that HD uses in a lot of their bikes, you can remove the bulb itself and clean out the reflector with some alcohol, blow it dry and reinstall the bulb. Simple as putting an ounce or so of alcohol in the reflector and swishing it around.
Don't touch the bulb itself with your fingers because the oil from your skin will shorten the life of the bulb.

If you have a sealed beam, a substitution of the open reflector can be made if you want to install a larger wattage bulb. The open reflectors can be found on other Harley models or at some parts stores.
An "open reflector" is just the shell of the headlight that will accept the proper H4 bulb. They are made in plastic or glass depending on where you buy it.

Here's some choices for a brighter bulb.
