Check Trans oil level

I have a 96 Softail Springer and I am not sure how or where to check the fluid levels. Can someone help.I bought a Manual but it skips the part about how or where to check. Thanks

I have a '91 Dyna and a '03 UC. Both trannies are checked hot with the bike level (upright and on level surface).
