I will be going on my first long trip on a bike (over 300 miles) and wodering what all should be going over on it what to pack just in case of any problems. 300 miles may not seem allot to some people but Iam use to going about 70 miles round trip and I really dont want to be stuck 3 hours from home with a small problem that could be taken care of before I leave.

Besides what Smitty said, I carry my leather throw over bags, leather chaps, rain togs, leather face cover, small bagged jumper cables (just makes sure the cager's engine is not on when jump starting your bike), a jiffy stand coaster and cable, if solo, I use the passenger pillion to pack change of clothes or 2 and toiletries (don't want to "smell" after the ride).

Oh and a digital camera pak if this is one of those trips to remember.
