i just picked up a 1970 xlch 1000 and i was told that it did not charge so i bought a new regulator and generator rewired the entire bike and replaced all the switches and buttons all new lights and it still wont charge new battery and it dies over night so i bought another one the same thing this bike is a kick start i also changed the regulator out for one that is for my 78 fxe should i put a stock one
