Carb Chaos

I’m confused about different CV Carbs I see listed on sites like ebay. I have a '96 RK and the number on my Carb is 27493-96. I have seen Carbs with numbers like 29492-96a, 29490-96, etc. Are all CV Carbs pretty much the same just with different needle and/or jets or what are the differences? Would one of these different numbered carbs work on my bike? :33:

The different part numbers for the carb relate the carb to their application
so if the carb is on a bike going to California it is set up different so will get a different part number but they are all pretty much the same apart from the jets and needle if it has a letter at the end of the part number it would indicate an updated part
