cable lube

hi have 2003 heritage softail with stainless steel cables, what is a good lube for all of them? also heard that dark oils will discolor casings ,maybe silicone instead. all help is appreciated thanks in advance.

I use Inox lube. I get it at the hd shop. It has a small stainless tube that fits right into the cable end. Works great. I avoid graphite because of the gritty mess and never use wd 40 as a lube. It is for water displacement and evaporates.

Stick with silicone or teflon type cable lubes and you should be fine.

Can remember if it's called dry glide or dry slide but that's what I use and it works really well. Nice thing about it it goes on wet but dries to a powder and it has a nice long needle to get down into the cable.

I like using Kano Kroil Penetrating Oil. Gets into everything!

TQ

I use Marvel mystery oil, followed by silicone spray lube on the outside
