Hmmmm... I went to Home Depot and bought 2 angle brackets with side bracing. Cut them off and installed the exact same way. Stronger than from factory, been there for 2 years without incident. Oh yeah... cost me less than $2!

I also did EXACTLY as you(added ell brackets) fixed the 2 top ones. A year later the lower ones broke. Local dealer wanted ME to PAY for replacement(using same (EDIT) ). Welded new pieces on the ends that bolt to the fairing. Fixed for good. Only left with bad taste in mouth from MOCO. AMF ?? Bike is 09 flhx 36000 mi.

Wow thanks Mr. Data I just had my fairing apart the other day and noticed I had a broken bracket need to fix before summer!
