G'day All,

Info time again, wondering if anyone has suffered rear brake pad glazing after doing about 5000 miles, i dont ride my brakes at all, there doesn't seem to be any drag on the disc, they are OEM pad fitted from new at factory.
Any help or guidance

Glazing usually caused by contaminates on the new pads not being cleaned off (use non-chlorinated brake clean, followed by light sanding in circular motion and clear water cleanup before installing. Also lightly sand the rotors in a circular motion to put fine "crosshatch" swirls to help bed in the brake pads.

In use, glazing can be caused by light application of the brakes over long periods, classic is "feathering them" during a long downhill ride (not getting them up to full temperature, the finish on the pads are "work hardened" rather than fresh pad material finish from steady but properly firmly applied braking.

You can do the same routine outlined in new pad installation to recover and rebed the pads.
