boom audio speekers in 03 road glide

the instructions say that the speakers can only be used with an advanced audio sytem in 06 and later motorcycles. i have an 03. is this true and if so, is there an adapter i can get or can i put a newer radio in my bike. thanx for the help

Don't know about an adapter but the 03 has a 4 ohm system and the 07 or 08 I believe and up have the 2 ohm Harmon Kardon systems. Have you thought of looking at Hog Tunes or J&M speakers?
