bikes sad i am sad !!!

Don't think I've ever given this much thought as I always have the bike in neutral in the shop. It really does not matter since you will be adjusting the cable not the gears in the transmission.

That is what I am doing in the shop just in case I need to rotate the rear tire. :s
 
Welcome to The Forum, as stated it does not matter, remember to use new gaskets and a quality lube, check your primary chain adjustment as well for smooth operation. Pr lube your NEW cable will be a big plus Good Luck:s
