G glider Veteran Member Oct 27, 2008 #2 You can do it either way but it's not necessary to remove it from the bike.Hook up a battery tender. Battery Tender For Storage - Harley Davidson Community If you take it out, never place it on the concrete floor. It tends to pull the charge down.
