Base gasket change?

After removing the head on my TC I disturbed the cylinder, it lifted up about 1/2 inch....I really don't want to pull the cylinder off the piston to change the base gasket. What's the odds of the base gasket leaking if I don't change it?

Chances are it would be alright but why take one, it's no work at all to just pull the jug and pop on new o-rings and it would give you a chance to check the cylinder walls, see what shape there in. If you don't and get a leak, well enough said:)

So long as you don't change rings, no problem, honing cylinders is for breaking in new rings.

And keep the rings in the same orientation on the piston. Note where end gaps are in relation to each other.

I would go with what Chopper says, if you don't replace it and get a base gasket leak, then you have to pull it all apart again, I would not risk it.
