Barnett Cable Issue.

    I just recently picked up a set of 8"+ Barnett cables. After routing the cables through fairing and on to carb I noticed the inner cable itself on both idle and throttle side are like and inch shorter than stock inner cable length.
    Do I need to trim outer casing and if so, how?

    I have adjusted inner cable lengths a couple of times on metric bikes, with fair success, because I had no alternative. I loosened the crimped end from the spiral outer cable and slid it away. Then I skinned the plastic cover and pulled the spiral outer (like stretching a spring) until there was enough room to cut with wire cutters. I have to admit, it was a hack job, and not easy, but worked.
    I would recommend you contact the seller and return your cables for the correct ones.

    Are you sure they sent the correct cables? 8"+ cables that are shorter than stock? Something is not right.

    The cables are 8" longer overall, but the "INNER" cable length is shorter than his old cables.

    I guess I didn't read that thoroughly, the travel is an inch shorter.
