Bag guards on a bike with a tour pak

If you put guards around the bags,and you have a tour pak,can you still lift the bags out? Just lookin at it,it doesn't seem it could happen.

Take a look at my avatar, if your speaking of the bars around my bags then yes you can lift them out.

I put a set on my road king ,I backed up into something low I didn't see and scratch bag anyway lol
