backfiring through intake

I have an 06 softail runs fine for first 20 to 30 seconds then starts to backfire through intake. unplug map sensor idles fine but brakes up at higher rpm's did compression test has 125 lbs both cylinders. replaced plugs,wires,airfilter,fuel filter cam chain tensioners are good.

Have you checked for air leaks?

yes and I put new O-rings on intake

Maybe a little more info like what mods if any, how long have you had this issue. The more info you can supply may help with the diagnosis.

it has screaming eagle slip on and a k&N filter everything else is stock it started like 3 weeks ago it sat for a month before that

Mine is doing the same thing. I think my carb needs to be rebuilt. But im taking it to a really great mechanic on saturday for a full inspection. Ill let you know the results.

Ive used sea foam too...and the hasnt made a difference
