Assembling the front end on a 2006 Street Bob

I'll post the progress. The triple trees and front wheel assembly on this bike are from a 2006 Wide Glide. I started by installing new stem bearings. The races looked great, so did not replace them at this time. Just new bearings, packed with new grease. Then I installed the upper and lower triple trees.

Cleaned all the fork tube pinch bolt threads and the threads inside the triple trees. Cleaned the threads on the risers so all that stuff is squeaky clean for reassembly.

Cleaned the bolts and threads for the handlebar top clamp. Now I'm just waiting on parts to be delivered.

Wiped down the front end and quickly polished the lower fork tubes. So much easier without the front wheel on there.

Hopefully somebody finds this thread interesting.
I like to make all threads squeaky clean so the loctite adheres properly. What can I say - I like clean threads!
I cleaned the front axle parts:

I'll let these front axle pinch bolts soak in cleaner overnight.

I'll let the fork tube bottom threads soak in a little cleaner overnight:

This stuff was delivered today. I am using three inch long grade 8 bolts for the stock risers along with solid riser bushings. I'll be using a lot of red loctite instead of the lock nuts. The bolts are long enough to reach well into the riser threads. More parts will be delivered on or before this Saturday.
