Anyone have problems with J&M CB mounting bracket?

I purchased a J&M CB set up and when we tried to mount it on my '09 Heritage, the unit pushed into the mirror (original equipment) to the point that we had to move the mirror and now it's not in a position it can be used. When I called the company, the tech guy told me that most folks replace the mirrors anyway. :newsmile055:I had not planned on replacing mine and wish they would have told me about this issue. It IS the correct bracket. Anyone else have this issue?

I had the same problem on my 08.

I adjusted the mirror post outward and pulled the mirror back in. Not the best option but its all you have. Cosmetically you can't really tell, but it does affect field of view in the mirror slightly.

The whole "most people change their mirrors anyway" argument is weak. I don't understand why they can't make a design that works well with stock equipment.
