Air Deflectors

I put a set of lower fairings (air deflectors)on by bike to correct a buffeting problem.My question is will these deflectors block enough air off the motor this summer to affect the heat of the motor ? Should i take them off this summer ?

the Harley ones should be fine. if you look at the shape of them you can see that they actually deflect the air onto the motor.

I have been across the Mojave dessert with lowers on. No problems.

I have had lowers on my '07 Softail Custom since I bought it in 2007. I never considered taking them off during the summer months and don't believe they that have much of an effect on the amount of air that circulates around the engine.
