Air Cleaner covers

Hey all, I got to go riding today, first time since September, it was great... I need some help &/or suggestions for an air cleaner cover for my FXSTC. I have installed a K&N air cleaner kit and am currently using the stock cover. I would like to replace it with one that is a bit shallower to show more of the air filter. Any help any of you can offer is greatly appreciated. As always, Ride Safe...

Are there any ill effects from opening up the ac cover to allow more air into the engine? I must admit I hadn't thought of cutting mine back some, it seems like a simple & efficient remedy. I appreciate your suggestion Hobbit.

Pawpaw; We had a thread about opening an airbox cover. I think it was in Dec. There were several posts with pictures, etc. Try a search, you may find something helpful.

Hobbit, it is the K&N w/ backing plate.
Breeze, I'll search for the thread on modifying the ac cover.
