A simple bulb trick

On all Harleys requiring 1157 directional bulbs front as well as brake light.Replace your rear 1156 directional only bulbs with the 1157's.They serve the same perpose just the extra filament is never used, it comes in very handy at night to have working running lights once you realize a bulb is out by simply stealing an extra double filament bulb from the rear.

What about the alignment of the contacts?
The 1157 is a double base contact and the 1156 is a single in the center besides the staggered locking pins on the base being different too .

Ya just what he said they aren't made for the application totally different bulbs
