I just got done going through the self help. What can be done to my bike to improve the front end suspension. I am going to do the Progressive 422's in back. Not interested in lowering the bike just a better ride.

I've got a 94 FLSTC and replaced the stock springs with progressive replacements ( not lowered). The new springs have a different rate than the stocks and prevent bottoming. You might also look in to heavier or lighter fork oil.
