88 Twin Cam engine tensioner changes?

I have a 2003 Twin Cam engine on my Roadking. Can some kind soul tell me what year it was that the cam chain tensioner thingy was changed by the motor co. And does this remedy the potential problem that some folk have had?
I just replaced mine at 45k.

Randall,

You have basically three options: replace worn out stuff with same, roller chain conversion and gear drive.
