I have a 1973 Z90. On the left side just below the seat is a electrical box with cooling fins.Anybody know what this is?

It doesn't exist and there's no spark,I didn't know if it was needed for spark

Regulator seems to be more used in battery charge and stator control.

Check the coil? Look in self help section under electrical how to test coil. Plug wires are good?

I think if you put a battery in it you would get spark to the plug but it won't recharge the battery.
