204 Se Cam...

I was told that the stock cams in my 07 WG is a type of EPA pollution control cam. This a big factor of the engine heat. But if i install the 203 or 204 S.E. cams it would pull hard from 1800 to 5800 and run a lot cooler. Am thinking real hard on the 204s and the new S.E.R.T. pro tune . Any you tech guys got any feed back? :D

The 203 will come in at a lower RPM than the 204 will. The SERT IMO is a bit of overkill unless you have a heavily modified engine.

A bit of useful info:

Stock cams are .484 lift@valve for both intake AND exhaust.
The stock cams open the intake valve at 12 degrees ATDC and close it at 30 degrees ABDC.
Early intake closing indicates a low speed torque cam (less than 30 degrees)
Medium intake closing = 30 to 50 degrees indicates a mid-range cam
Late intake (greater than 50 degrees) equates to high speed power
