2011 FLHP makeover

Well, I decided to make some changes this last week on my 11 RK Police.

I took off the tourpak, solo seat, rack,

I put on a new Street Glide Seat, Lay back license plate holder. Love the feel of the seat and riding position.

I really like the looks and must have taken off 30 lbs.

I just need passenger foot pegs now.

Nice copper chopper! Got my FLHP in December and have put 6,000 miles on it. I liked the cop solo seat, but too high, so I changed to a Sundowner and it fits me well. Enjoy your new ride!!

I bought the police model because I wanted a RK but the standard RK did not come with the 103. Also this was cheaper and you get the oil cooler, tachometer, heavy duty charging system, and ABS. It had 11 miles on it.

I had a hard time finding one at first then found a dealer that does fleet with the Sherriff's department in Lexington. I guess if they have one on the floor for a few months they can sell it to the public.

I guess that would be correct. Just picked up a new RK firefighter. Its black with red/gold pinstriping. From what they said, after a period of time, they can sell these special models of road king to general public.
