I'm getting terrible mileage with it since I changed out my battery (30mpg or less). I friend told me that sometimes when the battery is changed it can lose the settings. Is this true?

That could be possible. You would have to take it to the dealer for the download, unless you have an after market tuner.

The only settings I ever lost when changing a battery was the clock on the radio. When I was running my Dobeck Gen 3 fuel tuner the settings remained the same as well.
