I have a problem. I went to start my bike yesterday and I had the key fob on the bike but the alarm went off. Does anyone know what causes this to happen?

Could be a bad battery in the FOB or possibly interference from something electrical nearby.

One other thing to consider with respect to interference;

a cell phone nearby or on you can also cause keyfob failure if the two devices are in close proximity. I read this somewhere.
