2008 FSTC 103 cubic inch big bore stage II kit

Hey everyone,

I have an 08 FLSTC with true duals, HD race tuner, and performace air intake. The gains were nice, but I need more togque.

So I'm looking at the Screaming Eagle stage II 103 cubic inch big bore kit.

This is the kit that comes with the 255 cams. Does anyone have any good
experience with this kit/cam setup? I'm worried about my torque curve
flattening out at 4500 RPM, and losing my top end torque.

I want more torque off the line, and if I'm cruising at 70 mph, and I hit
the throttle, to still have some torque ready to go.

Is this possible with this kit?

Also, are there any other improvements I should do while they
are in there?

Option:
1) Balance the crank and get rid of the counter balances
2) port and polish the heads
3) new heads
4) or a different screaming eagle lightweight crank all together?

Thoughts and ideas are appreciated.

Later,
Brian

Brian,
That is a good setup. To get a little more have the heads polished & ported. Then Dyno tune it. You'll love the change.....

Check out kuryakyn, bore the cylinders and install their 103 pistons and 2- seires cams. Its better to keep your cylinders because they are matched to your bike. Call them, they have dyno numbers for your bike with this combo and you can talk to their tech.:s

what about crank options? Does it get you anything balancing the crank?
Im a car expert not a bike expert. Do your reserch and find some experts that have done the mods. mabey someone else on the forum has more insite. I would call kuryakyn, thats what I did and they had different mods with dyno mumbers.

Just make sure you know what kind of drivabilaty you will have. It sounded like you were looking for more cruising power, not going drag racing. A cam, big bore kit and tune will do.
