2006 xl883l Idle Speed

Hey,

I am new to the forum. How do I adjust the idle speed on this model. It is carbed, which means it has a choke. After warmup the choke is all the way in and still idles to high. I know it has to be a simple adjustment, cause if I take it to the shop, there will be a charge. Which I know I can probably do myself.

Thanks for the help.:42:

"you will need a flat blade screw driver, and maybe a torch"

For all of us American, English speakers, "torch" means flashlight.

Thanks for the help. Found the adjustment screw and lowered the idle. Sounds much better. But I think it is time for different pipes. Want a more Harley sound.

As I'm reading this thread I'm thinking the torch is for applying heat to loosen some type of thread sealant if you can't turn the screw. I forgot that it meant flashlight. Been a while since I've heard that term.
