2000 sportster charging problem

2000 sportster wont charge. Have a new battery. Stator is putting out 45 volts at high idle. Assuming the regulator was bad i installed a new one still wont charge. Batter reads 12.6 shut off and 11.9 volts running at idle. Were is my problem at.

Have you checked the lead from the regulator that goes to the battery to see if it is intact?
