2000 Heritage Fork Oil Change

How much play in the forks is to much or what is a good indicator that I should change my fork oil, besides the 10,000 mile suguested time frame. I only ask because I am unsure when it was done last. And is there any other special instructions that I should know other that what is in the service manual for a 2000 Heritage.

If you aren't sure of when/if it was done, a mushy front end or clunking like bottoming out is a good indication to change it. It's only 2 small bottles at less then $5 each, I would do it to be sure.

Make sure you check tourque on the neck bearings too. That will give you a klunk when you go over a bump.
