1998 harley wide glide

Need lots more info to help. Start with if you had spark before changing coil, plugs and wires? All the info will get you better info.

initially had no problems, have been riding it then 2 days later went to ride and back fired 2x then wouldn't start. motors turns over no problem. Clean and checked plugs for spark. Power to coil but nothing out so replaced plugs wires and coil and still no spark.

#8 is your cam sensor check wires coming out of cone to the coil
Welcome to The Forum

Moved this thread over here in order to hope for more visibility, therefore more help. :s

Welcome aboard, glad to have you here. :ws

Is your coil a dual, meaning the one block has the spark wire to both plugs coming out of it? Also, you have one power lead to the coil and two signal leads or just one?

You said you are getting power to the coil (that is the red wire on the central tap right?). Can you tell if you are getting a fire signal on the other tap(s) as you crank the starter?

If you are not getting a fire signal, then it points to the cam sensor in the nose cone. Make sure that the reader is not all mucked up with oil/grease and dirt especially if the seal has been leaking some. Also, sometimes the penetration where the wire feeds out the bottom of the nose cone is not water tight and debris, fluid and other contaminants can get in the nose cone.

Jack sent you the schematic above. Check out that the optics on #8 are clean where the spinner (#9) goes through it.

Cheers,

TQ
