1997 flht-c speedometer sensor

I have a 1997 electra glide classic...my problem is the radio and the turn signals act funny. I`ve been told that the speed sensor is bad. But it is NOT located in the transmission. is the speed sensor for my bike in the speedometer? If so, how hard is it to replace?

The older bikes had a reed switch in the speedo that is used to pulse out information to cancel the directionals. Don't know if it had anything to do with the radio but it is entirely possible. It's located in the speedo head. Best to get the factory manual and look it up.Are you sure the sensor isn't in the trans on that bike? I don't know what year they changed over to the magnetic pickup.
