1993 fxstc greasing neck bearing

Started pumping in the grease into the zerk fitting, eventually it flowed freely (with each pump) from the top bearing. Should I also expect it to flow from the lower bearing (base of neck), or is this inhibited by the dust cover? Thanks ...

It should flow from both ends.

Be sure to clean all the extra grease up, on a hot day it can liquidfy and drip down making the front fork seals look like they leak.

You may need to tie something (like a fat shoestring) around the gap at the top bearing to restrict it a bit to force the grease out the bottom. May be some old grease blocking that one so you will have to push it out.
