'09 Fit a '12?

I have a set of Heat Deflectors that I had installed on my '09 Electra Glide Classic. I crashed that bike last year, and my insurance company totaled it. I took the heat deflectors off and kept them.
I now have a 2012 Road King. I tried installing the deflectors on the new bike, but they don't seem to fit like they did on the '09.
Are these deflectors compatible with a '12 model, or do I need new ones?

I just looked at two heat deflector websites, and they list '09-'12 touring as the same part.

I tried installing the deflectors on the new bike, but they don't seem to fit like they did on the '09.

What exactly is different when you install them on the new bike?

The Touring bikes all got a new frame in '09 but it's the same for all of them. The seats and fuel tanks might be different enough to affect the way these deflectors fit.

They don't fit well at the fuel tank, and they don't seem to "marry" well at either side cover....
