08 Street Glide Tensioner Shoe with 50k on it

This is the primary (outer) shoe. The worn area was toward the crank shaft (small sprocket)

Checked mine at 30,000 and it was about 50% worn.

Different setups. These are the newer ones. Not "supposed" to wear like the old style. Anyway I recommended he change them since we were putting new cams in. Shouldn't have to look at it for another 50k.

Thanks for posting the pix of the new type tensioner. Looks like they will last a lot longer than the older type. I'm glad I changed to the S&S gear drive!
