'06 Ultra CB Problem

HI guys and gals. New user here. Did a search with no results on my problem.

I have an 06 Ultra Classic and the CB radio does not work anymore. When I press the COM button on the front of the radio it says "COM option not installed please see dealer". It worked before (a year or so ago) but this is the first time I have tried to use it in quite a while.

Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. I've had a problem something like yours and had to take it to the dealer. The bike had been wrecked and the radio didn't work anymore. Whatever the dealer did fixed it.

If you are out of warranty and haven't made it to the dealer I would recommend trying the radio software update first Search this site using "radio software update" also make sure you "extract" the two files needed from the .zip file before burning them to the CD. The other posts have step-by-step instuctions even I could follow. aj
