Having trouble accessing the battery on my 2004 low rider, how do i remove it?

I think you should have two 1/2" bolt heads left of the battery box - one above the other. Loosen these, but don't remove. With the seat off, look to the inside of the battery to the left of the box (inboard of the box) and you will see another 1/2" bolt head. As you back this out, the battery box should descend. Lower it enough to get the top off the box. This should give you enough room to mess with the battery. If not, you may have to take the first two bolt out completely. If you remove those bolts, when you are lowering the battery further (inboard bolt) keep your hand on the bottom of the battery box so it doesn't drop onto the bike.
